From Forward in Faith

From Simon Killwick, Chairman of Catholic Group in General Synod:

The Catholic Group in General Synod is hugely encouraged by the
appointment of two such fine priests to be the next Bishops of Ebbsfleet
and Richborough. We have every confidence in their ministry and
leadership, and look forward to working with them. We are deeply
grateful to the Archbishop of Canterbury for making these excellent
appointments at this critical time. We look to the House of Bishops and
the General Synod to amend the current draft legislation for Women
Bishops so as to provide for the ongoing ministry of Bishops Jonathan
Baker, Norman Banks and Martyn Jarrett, and for them to have appropriate
episcopal oversight.

From The Rt Revd Matthias K Medadues-Badohu, the Bishop of Ho, Ghana

We are relieved to know that the Church of England has not forgotten
its Catholic roots and has once again appointed two Provincial Episcopal
Visitors to provide pastoral care to Traditional and Conservative
Anglicans. We are indeed grateful to the Archbishop of Canterbury for
these appointments.

Our prayers are with Fr Jonathan and Fr Norman as they prepare for their new ministry. We assure them of our prayerful support.
