Archbishop Eliud Wabukala

The Archbishop of Kenya, the Most Reverend Eliud Wabukala is chair of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, a network of  orthodox mainstream Anglicans which represents 40 million of the 55 million churchgoing Anglicans worldwide.
He is considered by some as the counterpart of the Archbishop of Canterbury and will be speaking at St Agnes Klooft on Friday November 4th at 1930 on the Renewal of the Church.
The Primates Council of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans was established at Jerusalem in 2008 is committed to the renewal of the Anglican Communion and stands for the authority of the Bible in the teachings of the church especially on holy living and the mission of the church to preach the gospel.
Archbishop Wabukala will be speaking on The Renewal of the Church, especially drawing on his own personal experience of the East African Revival and its implications for holy living and renewal of the church’s mission. His talk will be of interest to those of all denominations.
In addition to his international role, the Archbishop is recognised as key leader of the nation. He chaired the Constitutional Commission in Kenya and is chair of the National Council of Churches.  His visit comes within a month of the visit of Presiding Bishop Jefferts Schori of The Episcopal Church in the United States who spoke to the synod of bishops of the innovations which the Archbishop of Kenya opposes.
