Report from Jos, Nigeria

Dear Friends,

Even at 6.30a.m. it is amazing what an experience driving to church on a Sunday morning can be!  Apart from having to allow an extra 1/2 hour or 1 hour (depending on how late in the morning you are), there are check points galore, and probably even more completely closed roads.  But I, along with many others, eventually made it this morning, and to the glory of God I have not heard of any bad report from anywhere.

The security forces are themselves under threat, so they are keen to keep ALL vehicles as far away from church buildings as possible – not easy when you have a city centre church and no car park!  The barriers which have now been erected are very substantial and permanent: heavy metal bars and solid cement bollards, rather than tyres etc. Meanwhile people are beginning to say that if feels
as if we are under siege and they are beginning to wonder , “for how long . . “.  But clearly, very clearly, the Lord is in charge!

Thank you so very much for praying.  Please continue!!
